Flag Bookmaking Workshop held for 5th graders on the theme of Shalom Bayit – Peace of the Home, as part of The Art of Ethics theme at the Silverlake Independent JCC.
While traditionally described as matrimonial harmony, we’re expanding the theme of Shalom Bayit to include sibling harmony and all those in our homes.
This workshop is for those children enrolled in the weekly Sunday class, and is part of the SLIJCC Visiting Educator Artist program.

A simple post sharing about a simply lovely program I was privileged to lead at the Bell Library one of the many fine Los Angeles County Libraries serving their patrons with devotion, commitment and love!
Parents, children and Library Staff participated. The wonderful Library provides programs every week, so if you are in their vicinity, please check them out and take advantage!
We had a beautiful creative group. Many participants knew each other, and had fun chatting during the program.
Mother and daughter duo, doing.
The younger brother in a family of four sibs, this young artist reveled in all of the materials, and the opportunity to create.
A beautiful soul creates a beautiful book, heartfelt.

I will lead bookmaking workshops with Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) English and Art students at Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga, CA, supported by the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Students will create one-of-kind BOOKS by hand, and develop them with print and visual media to create unique works of writing, visual art and craft.
I will work with Seniors in the VAPA English class, and Freshmen in the VAPA art class.
These workshops are for specific VAPA students at Verdugo Hills High School, and will take place in VAPA classes during school hours.
