JOIN US JULY 198th at 2PM!!! Kicking off our Artist Residency "We Write The Book" at the Canoga Park Library!
The Associates of Brand invite you to join us in a special event workshop to learn how to create a fun and fabulous Flag Book! You will combine art, craft, bookmaking and creative writing in a paper-based project inspired by the Brand 51: Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper, now on view in the Gallery at the Brand Library and Art Center in Glendale!
Learn how to make the versatile accordion fold and combine image and text in a way that allows you to become author, artist, designer and writer in one fell swoop!
Learn how to make a book with pockets and pages to help you get organized for FALL!

Join Us to Honor and Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by learning to create a folded and glued book, and add to it with "Papel Picado", the art of cut paper! All materials included!
Learn to create a tunnel book and make a three-dimensional scene for Halloween inspired by the holiday and your own imagination! All materials provided! This program is part of my artist residency at the Canoga Park Library supported by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs!
Join us to learn how to make books for yourself or as gift. All materials will be provided. Generously sponsored by Hermosa Beach FOL. For Adults.
Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.
This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Join us to create your own recipe book just in time for the holidays! Bring in your favorite family recipes, learn how to make your own sewn book with envelopes to hold the recipes. All supplies included! This workshop is part of my Artist Residency supported by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs!
Join us and learn to create the fun and fabulous "flag book" with artist Debra Disman while being inspired by the "Paper Route" exhibition at ArtShare LA. Learn the accordion fold, add book covers and alternating flag pages, and play with "found writing" to create a kinetic book that can be opened and used in multiple ways.
