Artist-in-Residence Debra Disman will instruct patrons in how to make a rainbow book in celebration of LGBTQ Heritage Month.
Everyone is welcome to attend this culmination event where everyone who attended a previous bookmaking program can share their creations.

Discover the artist and writer within while learning bookmaking skills in this hands-on workshop led by 18th Street Arts Center artist, Debra Disman. Learn “found writing” techniques to take the anxiety out of the writing process and create a flag book that is its own work of art! This program is part of the Universe of Stories Summer Reading Program.

Artist Debra Disman and participants of our older adults’ workshop will host an outdoor exhibition reception, featuring the artists' books they created over the course of the series, and facilitate a bookmaking activity for attendees. This program is generously sponsored by Aroha Philanthropies.
